Mythical Figure

The legendary first man and king of the Ganda people. He married Nambi, daughter of the sky god, but their union on Earth was tragically followed by her brother Walumbe (Death). Kintu is the father of the Buganda nation, and his story explains the origins of both civilization and human mortality.
