African Lady

I am an African Lady

Whose skin was gold

Whose beauty was obscure

Whose heart was privy ravishing.

I was the one who had it all

I'm all that I cull to be

I'm the causality of the sparkling gleam

I'm the causality of the aromatic delish meal.

'Cause I came from a strong African Woman

Who has a strong ravishing African heart

She could fix anything shattered

No matter how knotty it would be

See how brave she was

She made me see the diamonds inside of me.

And so

I am proud to be me

I am proud to be independent.

I am proud to be an African Lady

And I'm all that I came to be.
